Liz Keller founded Glen Wild Animal Rescue in 2000 and has developed many programs designed to help animals and people. Liz was blessed with a puppy named Miracle who inspired her to dedicate her life to helping homeless and abused animals. As a result, Liz created Rescue Dogs Rescue Soldiers to help veterans.
We train rescue dogs as service dogs for soldiers injured in Iraq and Afghanistan. We name the dogs in honor of fallen soldiers and carefully pair the dogs with veterans to allow a better life for both soldier and dog. We work with teens in a juvenile detention facility to train the dogs.
RDRS helps three populations: injured Iraq and Afghanistan vets; rescued dogs; and troubled teens in juvenile detention. By working together, we are proud to help save and improve the lives of everyone involved in RDRS.
