Help Support Our Mission

Rescue Dogs, Rescue Soldiers has been providing Love and Support to Animals in Distress for over 20 Years.

Our Mission

Rescue Dogs Rescue Soldiers (RDRS) was founded by Liz Keller in 2000 as part of Glen Wild Animal Rescue to help both animals and people. Inspired by her beloved puppy Miracle, Liz dedicated her life to rescuing homeless and abused animals, creating RDRS to train rescue dogs as service dogs for injured veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan. The dogs, named in honor of fallen soldiers, are carefully paired with veterans, fostering a better life for both. Additionally, troubled teens in juvenile detention play a vital role in training the dogs, creating a unique program that transforms and improves the lives of veterans, rescue dogs, and teens alike.

How We Help

Liz Keller founded Glen Wild Animal Rescue in 2000 and has developed many programs to help animals and people. Liz was blessed with a puppy named Miracle, who inspired her to dedicate her life to helping homeless and abused animals. As a result, Liz created Rescue Dogs Rescue Soldiers to help veterans.

RDRS helps three populations: injured Iraq and Afghanistan vets, rescued dogs, and troubled teens in juvenile detention. By working together, we are proud to help save and improve the lives of everyone involved in RDRS.
