RDRS Lawsuit Dismissed
February 21, 2025I’m writing this letter in support of Rescue Dogs, Rescue Soldiers. Throughout the ten plus years i have known them they helped me to turn my last dog into a service dog. This meant I could continue to work and be productive in society. When the time came and i had to put that dog to sleep due to him suffering from lung cancer Rescue Dogs paid for the cost of a private cremation so i could keep his ashes. The very same day i went to their sanctuary in upstate ny and they gave me another dog. Henry. He was labeled unadoptable at animal care and control because he flinched too much when people tried to pet him. Mrs. Keller saved him, and on that day, she saved me too by giving me Henry. I dont think i could have dealt with the loss of my service dog without Henry and Elizabeth. Henry has been a blessing. So has Rescue Dogs, Rescue Soldiers. It’s been about two years now since I got Henry. He’s well adjusted, happy, loved by all who meet him, and truly my best friend.
Last August, Mrs. Keller found a puppy on its way to animal control to be put down by its owners, who abused and neglected that poor dog. I was lucky enough to be given her by the charity. She was deformed in her hips from being trapped in a tiny kennel all day and was physically abused. Now she is strong and healthy and at least 60lbs. She is smart, and she and Henry adore each other like brother and sister.
Rescue Dogs and rescue Soldiers are an important part of my life for many reasons. I’m sure they have touched many hearts and souls and saved many lives, both dogs and humans, with their work. They are a blessing and in need of help, and all I can do is write this letter. But if I could, I would make sure their mission continues until there’s no more need for soldiers and war. Thank you for your time and consideration.
